Wassuuuuup, I need some PC help cheese to play ARMA 2 on like crazy settings.

Well these are my ugly donkey PC specs.

Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q8200 @ 2.33GHz (4 CPUs)
2048MB RAM
: Windows XP Professional (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2
NVIDIA GeForce 9400 GT

And Im thinking on upgrading to a GTX 480 BUUUUUUT, I dont know If I neither have to overclock my CPU and shit with all the fans or buy a new one? or just stick with this one. . .

It so happens the tech support forum is supported by SocketMan who is very fluent in hardware along with many other friendly forum members, including myself.


Silencer, if you still need help....
What is your price limit?
Do you want a whole new computer or just upgrades?
Did you build this computer, or did you buy it from a company like Dell or HP?
How large is your power supply?
Do you know what your motherboard is?
Do you know if your RAM is DDR2 or DDR3?


Also, your thread title has nothing to do with the thread... consider changing it.

I'd say add +4GB of ram, change the 9400GT to a GTX460/470 1GB and make sure your PSU is sufficient, then play arma2 & profit

oh and if your motherboard is capable... overclock your CPU to 3ghz++
