Alpha Project once again proudly brings to you a mumble required event.
Tensions are mounting, a new era of hostilities is upon us. The worlds army's are preparing. All it would take to set the gears in motion would be a single event, a relatively small affair but one that could set into motion a chain of events so great, so destructive, it could only be called A True Global Conflict.
Generals make decisions on where to attack and defend based on the current situation. The situation changes based on the outcome of a battle. To stay up to date on the developing situation on the ground. Alpha News will consistently and timely update there reports. You can find those here News Update Also the password for the event will be included on the first page on the above link.

This is a mumble required event. You can check out our very detailed mumble guide here. MUMBLE
The fight starts August 27th at 19:00 GMT continues through to the 29th. (each day it restarts at 19:00 GMT on the map that was meant to be played based on the outcome of the last battle the night before.
The event continues the next Saturday on September the 4th and 5th starting at 19:00 GMT
Due to the fact that the outcome of the fight dictates the next map. The only map that will be guaranteed will be Qwai River Skirmish.

How exactly will this work? Will there be pre-determined outcomes for each map, or will say the respective winning teams COs be able to decide what map to play on next?

Pre-determined outcomes.
sorta, the actualle winner of the fights are not predetermined, but the next battle is based on the winner. so if us wins on qwai they might perhaps theoreticly attack barracuda (spoiler)
but if the chiness wins... who knows the russians migh invade.

I think it wouldn't really be a war without armour and CAS, but similarly i think a inf only one would be needed in there too

not all skirmish, theres going to be also 32 and 64 maps.
maps will last however long it takes, theyd be the same length as normal. The great thing is this event goes on for 5 days. So plenty of rounds to be experienced

Probably as long as normal rounds, maybe longer by 30 minutes-one hour. Once the longer maps started playing, I don't think the server would continue more than one round, maybe two...
