shortcut help

I wasnt sure where to post this, so I'm putting it here. Every time I try opening PR for BF2, I get to the log in screen, log in, then a message pops up telling me to run using pr.exe. I have been opening the program with that file. I'm just lost, if someone could help me itd be appreciated.
