PR FPS dropping

Every time i look toward a lot of the action in PR i lag like hell. When i look away my frame rates jump back from 16 FPS to 43 FPS. It's where most of the action is like everyone running around or something. I've tried game booster and stuff like that, but it doesn't help.
anyone know what could be causing it?

GTX 9500
2GB DD2 RAM
Phantom X2 2.4 (i think) Ghz
Win 7 ultimate.

Try to turn down your graphics and view distance scale.

I was getting the same thing on a map where the Russians start on an AC, and the Israelis are in a city. I don't remember the name. I was playing maps earlier that were perfectly fine, other than once the round ended I CTD saying that All Alloc attempts to find whatever failed.
Everything goes screwy, it tells me I can't log into my profile several times, then refuses to update the server list. I finally start loading, it tells me I've been kicked for excessive TKing and/or kick vote. Try another server, and finally get on. I land in the city....and 1 FPS. I look at the ground, I jump to 100 (my normal) and same with the sky. Earlier in the day I was fighting through a beautiful forest with a 6 man squad, holding a point with the entire team under attack by the entire enemy team while under bombardment, and I was holding at 80 FPS.

Vista Home Premium, if that helps. I know it's not the graphics, as I was running more graphics intensive stuff earlier.

I have a 2 gb ram that might be the case because depending on how detailed the map is i may loose alot of fps plus smoke totally destroys my fps, might be better to just replace it. thats the kind of feedback i got, just to get more ram.

tjm39, How much ram on your GTX 9500 card?

If you still have trouble run battlefield cleaner to flush out your video cache files

Still no joy?

Trash your BF2 cache files
Path:
C:\Users\'your user name here'\Documents\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache

Throw EVERYTHING inside the folder named cache away.
don't worry the files will be replaced with new ones when the game restarts.

Good luck

thank, i'll try that. But the wierd thing is, is when i first join a server i get like 60-70 FPS, and them randomly out of no where, it'll drtop down to 11 FPS and it'll only go back up to about 30 FPS when i look away from the action

tjm39,
Could be a bottleneck with your CPU. Check in Bios you have the largest data block going out to the PCIe video card. Sounds like the CPU slowly loses the battle keeping up with video card.
