Is it just me because i think shotguns are easier to use than Assault rifles in the game. And i think shotguns also have more range in pr than the traditional arcade shooter.

Well the shotguns are easy to use. And this is not a "Traditional Arcade Shooter", just look ant the name of the game, (Project Reality) and it will tell you why it has more range. ;)

Dude...that guy is sooooooo using aimbot, but back on topic.Shotguns have the tactical advantage in a squad, you can quickly take out personnel and you can also breach doors and gates.

Shotguns (especially those with automatic fire) are better in CQC than assault rifles mainly because you don't have to use your ironsights to fire it accurately. It means that you'll have more of that much needed mobility to flank and dodge bullets. But the range isn't that good at all, I couldn't shoot a civie standing on a roof 25 m from me.

Not really.

Shotguns have no deviation...

Updated all shotguns to have the same movement deviation as rifles.
(As of .95)

that really doesnt prove anything. hes useing a very open choke for trick shooting. im willing to bet military shotguns have a smaller choke so they are effective at longer ranges.

Shotguns dont need deviation, they're single shot (for the most part) and generally aren't too effective above 25m. Back on topic, I find the shotgun a very hard weapon to use against things like PPsHs and AK74u's.

Shotguns are perfect as they are imho. Only for clearing buildings and small alleys though, but thats mostly cos of their limited range.

The Shotgun range in COD in comparison to PR is laughable. In COD you are safe from shotguns if you are 10 meters away. Well then of course sniping range in COD is about 100m at the most.

the shotgun is good, it's kinda hard to use, but can be employed really well.

the recoil seems to have increased a lot in .95 though, which makes it a good deal harder to use (mainly while aiming as the recoil puts the target behind the shotgun and you lose sight)
