Score System

Is it available, or it is secret due to the possible stat-padding?

Can you clarify your question beyond a single line? Difficult to work out what you're asking here seeing as stat-padding is both impossible and utterly pointless in PR due to the lack of a persistent scoring system + lack of unlocks etc.

i think he just wants to know what actions give what pointage

though the stat-padding thing made me lol hard

Sounds like he is asking if there are persistent stats, as the in-game score isn't exactly a secret.

Points dont matter so if you dont know how it works, even better, just play the game as you're told and it will be allright.

While I'm not gonna lie, points ARE fun (it's cool to see you in the best squad and scores and stuff), they are useless.

I'm not saying we SHOULD have it, but what about some "ranks" to show how much people know of the game, so as to forgive the noobs better?

there should be some kind of rank system but only on the basis of time played and should be re-set after 3 months of not playing?

only have 3:
- Dedicated
- Ropes learnt
- Learning

Haha, Rank system would be good like that :D
I would fall into Ropes Learnt, I'm mostly a Arma Player.

Time based ranks are really cool, if there is a way to do that, would be awesome!

No time based ranks, confusion, noob calling etc...

BINGO
Sorry for the unclear question. What actions count, and how many points? I agree that rankings in PR are not good ideas, but its kinda cool that your squad is the best at the end of round. You gain points for killing, repairing, supplying, healing, capturing, assisting, reviving, and for "driver ability", and penalties for suicide, TK, team damage in BF2. What are the differences between BF2 and PR score system?

Alright I actually got the formula working like this:

1)Building FOBs = Lots of points
2)Doing your job = Lots of points

I'm serious about the 2nd part... I am really serious, if you are INF and capture stuff or you are APC driver and transport and support INF or an armor driver that stays with the team awards you a LOT of points, I don't know the formula.

Time-based ranks are interesting though, I don't think there would be anyone noob calling (except you are on a kids server). Well, the noobs can say "Hey, I have a life outside PR!" to counter those "noob calling" people...

It would be awesome if PR would have this system like Americas Army (game) has, first you have to complete tests before being able to shoot with marksman,etc..

This would be usefull preventing noobs to crash heli's and jets.

Thing is though, don't get upset or think you're not doing your job right if your NOT getting a huge amount of points or any at all...

i know transporting gives you alot of points. revivng and healing also give out alot(you can come in with the top score and no kills as a medic). ive heard that just staying close to your squad will give you points, but i dont think actually works. dropping FOB's as a SL and building them as a grunt also give you points.

i think thats about it. theres no ranking system so theres no padding. i do remember a clan called [TEAM] that tried to rank a coop server. i loled.

Ranks + PR = you can never change ur name. ever.
People would entirely judge people based on rank.

As I recall, for the most points:
As Infantry -
  • Building firebase(s)
  • Revives/Heals/Resupplies
  • Killing targets that are greater threat (APCs/Choppers/Tanks)
  • Killing enemies on defensive flags (flag defend points)
  • Long range sniping
  • Staying close to other squad members when they receive points
In Vehicles -
  • Transporting troops (distance * number of passengers?)
  • Killing high priority targets (Tanks/Planes/Choppers)
As Commander -
  • Get your team to get a lot of points, then you get a % of those
As for how many each dot gives, I think I remember it being posted up aaaaggess ago (like 0.7/0.8 days) but that's really far enough back that I can't be bothered digging through a search to find it.

True dat...

It should be linked to yoour own game nuber (the one you have to write down on clanbase), ro something, so it tracks the whole play of PR.

and new PR players played vanilla most of the time, when it comes to time, I think BF:2 checks it, this includes the time in PR aswell the time in vanilla. and vanilla players are the greatest noobs of all...
