for PR, and Arma 2, which would give better performance, and is the extra 2 cores worth it for the slower speed?

Thanks!

p.s. I'm currently using an AMD athlon x2 7750+ OCed to 3.2Ghz

I would shoot for a quad core as theres virtually no games that can use 6 cores.

What Fuzzy said, but honestly I compared the 1055T to the 1090T (which I now own), 1090T is a step up, the 1055T from what I read had a few flaws, the 1090T fixing most of them. Obviously, right NOW there aren't really any games capable of utilizing all 6 cores, but then again being slightly ahead of a market never hurts. If you're looking at the short run, slap in a Quaddie.

Well, you can overclock the 1055T to 3.2 GHz, and get the same performance per single core from the x4, but have more cores to do mundane tasks while the others clock up to deliver better performance.

IMO I'd much rather wait for Bulldozer, then reconsider, but if you want this to hold over for a bit, the X4 is fine.

965 is 3.4 + its the BE so its better for ocing (seen them stable at 4.0) another thing is if a program isn't using 6 cores the processor will automatically switch to "Turbo Mode" which is 3 cores at 3.33ghz as opposed to 4 cores at 3.4
