How about giving the insurgents an RPG7 with the tandem warhead. I know it has been discussed before, but I don't see why it should not be added. It should be available at the main bases, not at caches. It should spawn like every 10 min, with 2 max ingame at the same time. This would give the insurgents an incentive to have better RPG teams and all that. Also, if the HP of the BLUFOR APCs could be modified, so a single tandem won't make a one shot kill. That would be unrealistic. I mean that even if it penetrates, I doubt it would be able to kill the whole crew and passengers, unless of course they were hugging or something like that.

Yeah, I agree, make Al Basrah and Karbala more hellish which I think would be fun (for the game).
Maybe those kits only have 1 tandem and 1 normal rocket?

I made this suggestion in my Karbala feedback thread but with only one kit which was non respawning. You have to remember a Tandem RPG puts a Bradley on fire and kills a Stryker instantly so 2 is a bit overkill.
This many not be needed as well considering that there is most likely going to be an increase in the amount of ArtyIED kits present on these maps.

It doesnt have to be spammed like the normal RPG but maybe only 1 or 2 (that respwan cuz kits that dont respwan are just stupid imo) and they would be used to deal with the MBTs.

I support to give a little extra firepower in the form of a better RPG round, AT the expense of existing normal, HEAT RPG's, 2 Tandem can spawn at caches at a time, while sacrificing 4 regular RPG-7s. But depending on the map.
Karbala is a must, lots of open ground for BluFor's Abrams and Stryker's to operate, should add something that will leave more than a scratch on the Abrams super-armor.

Looks like Point of Existence 2 have already got somewhere with one of these tandem warheads:
If the tandem was to be implemented into PR, then maybe the Devs could liaise with the POE2 team in getting the model into PR. Just a thought anway.

Well, I am glad that people are really for the Tandems on Karbala and Basra. I personally have no problem with the Strikers, Warriors and Scimis, especially on Basra. For the APCs, I just get a 2 man squad up, spawn at a main and take 2 RPGs. Together they kill the Warriors and Scimis instantly. Its the Challanger and Abrams that are annoying and hard to get. The only way is with a BC or maybe Arty IEDs. The Arty IEDs are fun, but they are boring if nobody comes that way. And on Karbala there is none, so only BC is left to deal with the tank.
Now, I know I'm running on a thin line here. I mean a BC can outflank a tank, and if he has another guy with the SVD in the squad, it can very likely kill the Abrams. But BCs are not always available. A tandem would stop the tank from running in the city areas without a problem, and it would prevent it from being used as mobile artilery, as a squad with the tandem and a couple of simple RPGs can go behind the tank and seriously wound him/maybe kill it. With the standard RPGs, I need a full squad, all with RPGs, and all in a good line, all good with the RPG, and a tank crew that is foolish enough to come close enough. While I personally saw this work(I was the Sq leader in a squad called RPG Madness), it is very frustrating and very few people play in the squad after we fail one time or more.

Did you read what I said in like, the last post I wrote?
The INS have good AT against APCs. But against tanks, they are useless. And most VBIEDs are not really realistic. A car with some C4 in it won't kill an Abrams. It might track a Striker or a Brad, but not kill them(unless it was like full of ARTy shells and that, but then it would be ultra slow and relatively obvious in traffic.
I mean, maps with Garys and Big Reds are really unrealistic. I mean, there is only one truck on those maps, and they get BLOWN up at the first sight. Maybe Garys and Big Reds should be left for ARMA2 PR, in combination with civi trucks and all that.
Also, if the INS are able to come up with a truck with a 1 ton bomb in it, then they could also get a tandem. This is supposed to be Project Reality.

Good thread/suggestion is good, I hate how a tiny civi car can take out a tank, a big truck with a huge bomb attached to it, fine, but those silent, agile, small and fast cars.. this just screams unreality.
Think it would be better if insurgents would get a few tandem RPGs and have the bomb cars removed.
