Remember this?

Not for much longer.
Well, it's with great pleasure that I present to the Project Reality world, an asset that was kindly lent to us from the devs down at Firearms: Source, to replace the vanilla M24 in 0.95.
A little disclaimer about the change from the vanilla magazine fed M24 to the internal magazine counterpart.

While the M24A2 is being used by a large number of troops, you'll still see the original in the hands of many US Army snipers around the world. Many soldiers, myself included, prefer the internal fixed magazine and will continue using those rifles until they are removed from inventory (which I don't see happening any time soon).
[R-DEV]Eddie Baker wrote:There's no need for a box magazine, as the US Army has made no official adoption of that upgrade, to my knowledge. I think rounds are fed into the internal magazine individually, since I don't know if they use stripper clips for the match grade rounds.
M24A2 and M24A3 are marketing names by Remington and they have not been adopted and type-classified by the DoD. One non-SOF unit (I think 25th ID) purchased M24A3s with AICS stocks in .300 Win Mag or .338 Lapua (I'll have to check), but again, this is not Army wide.
The model we have from firearms is basically the correct model.
