Well since my earlier post was in a rush to be put out and I messed up the whole upload process I have fixed it since then.

You can view the magazine here: http://issuu.com/prmag/docs/sept2010

We are still currently recruiting talented young writers. So pm me if you're interested.

I hope you like what you see and remember this is purely volunteer based :)

Told you guys it'd be Issuu ;)

:D It's the same website i made my school newspaper use XD

Anyways, awesome read! I would help if I could remember how I used to write. D:

Biggest pro-tip. Make sure most of your pages are different!

Some sort of neat background or something. I see several similar white pages of doom, and that's a big no-no.

Also, somewhere "ABOUT" half way you should have a feature article, where you write about something major.

A clan interview doesn't count D:

I know that it's a pain, but you should never have the same pages. In a newspaper, yes, but in a magazine, that's a nono. Take a look at gameinformer or something, just so you can understand what i mean.

But for a early start issue, it's excellent.

:D Just giving my two cents. XD I wasn't the writer in school, i was the design person. > >

(under this is just silly) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

When you start getting more articles, i do recommend at least putting at least 3 things that are in the magazine on the front page. I like the plain pictures occasionally but don't make a habit of it. It turns out to be quite plain.

Maybe a major article. Don't make it tabloid junk though.

Something like

"Ruddmedicman talks teamwork"

or

"Standardized Squad Tactics, p.8"

or

"What's that pok.... unknown vehicle!!! "

...

"It's a Puma!"

XD

bravo mate, well presented, interestingly written, a superior effort!!

I'd love to see more! my only grip is there are a few spelling errors, but seriously man, I really enjoyed reading.

the medium you've used to distribute is very good also.

EDIT, avoid dark green font on black backgroudn

haha. Since i did start the project with the other team members later in the month. I'm sure its not to its full potential right now. We'll work on that in future issues :)

Also I kind of rushed it a little bit in the last few days before release since I lost some of the file due to a hard-drive error. I didn't want to worry anyone on the team about it. xD

The dark green I was worried about from the beginning. Thanks for the advice from everyone and we'll continue to work on upgrading the reading experience :) Also... if you come across ANY clans or something that are trying to get some exposure for events and such. Please refer them to me or the team. We'd be glad to include an "ad" for the event in the releases.

Lastly I want to mention that we'll try to branch out a bit with what we write about. Hopefully getting some information before the general public to... spice things up a bit.

Again thanks for everyones support on the project :)

P.S WE NEED A BETTER FONT!!!!

i can't begin to show the need for this. but the current font we are using FIFA Welcome, has some issues with letters such as "i" and "l" coming after "f" the f and following letter disappear. Which could be the cause for some spelling mistakes I've made trying to fix this. recommendations would be greatly appreciated

Very interesting, indeed.

As I pointed out in your latter thread about the magazine, it is good to see interviews, editor's words, pictures and such but it will be awesome to see something else than just reporting news (sure you made some accurate comments). For the future, at least, consider going deeply in a subject (comments, arguments, critics, pros&cons, be it subjective [mood] or objective,...).

It is just a draft, I am so looking forward to waiting for the final release :)

Good job anyway. ;)

As a graphic designer I can say, that there is a lot of work must be done to make it look professional.
The typographics looks ugly as a war.

Look for examples:

Good work Sylent :)

But we do need some more help, we only had a few people working on this issue and with the amount of people within the community this magazine could become great!

Plus I agree with Sylent about possibly asking the Dev's if we can use some unreleased stuff for 0.95 so we have some more content for the magazine.

Awesome work!

Although I do encourage you to proof-read the magazaine before you publish it, I noticed a couple of mistakes.

You might take out the mention of eating popcorn. Popcorn kills... seriously

Consumer Popcorn Lung Disease Lawsuit Settles - Defective Products / Products Liability - Injured

Other than that it was great!!!
