Mumble Pr Edition .5 is nice but here is an issue i am hoping can get alot of responses.
After Connecting and joining the PR server, and being in the proper Mumble Chanel, and also being on VENTRILLO, the game volume decreases greatly. I go from normal to deaf the whole game.
Anyone else have this issue?
How can we fix this?

You're using Windows7 yeah?
You are one of many victims, myself included, of the the Windows 7 audio coders bad decision making. They have a feature auto-enabled for Win7 that automatically lowers all other sounds when it detects voice communication.
It's easily turned off.
1. Right click on the speaker icon in the bottom right
2. Select "playback devices"
3. Go to the "Communications" tab
4. Change it to "Do Nothing".
5. Apply and click ok.

Moved to PR:BF2 Support.

Check your Windows volume settings. Mumble seems to almost mute the BF2 volume when you start it up, or change settings. Never happened to me on Windows XP, but always have it on Windows 7.
Edit: Thanks Jaymz, I didn't know there was a permanent solution

Try to change the volume settings of "Stereo Mixer" (if you have this, sometimes called "Master") and/or "Wave", see if it helps. No idea how to fix it on Windows XP, never got it..

This problem is usually unique to Win7 since the VOIP handling like that was first introduced into Win7.
Try something else:
In your Mumble:
- go to Configure
- go to Settings
- Tick "Advanced" at lower left corner
- go to Audio Output
- lower the lever "Attenuate applications by ..." to 0%
edit: note himalde advices to change it to 100% - I havent tested either, I am just guessing.

^^that^^ except increase it to 100%. (Attenuate applications will keep their former output signal at 100%)
By default this is set to 50% output iirc.

I believe you are refering to the scrambled (red-greenish) Mute and/or Deafned icon. I think this is a glitch due to the PR mumble version. I haven't figured out a way to clear those up but I have seen them clearly at some point.
It indicates that the user is muted and/or deafend.
