Mi28 vs Apache Speeds

In the last few games of Kashan32 ive played the Apache has been able to smash the havocs because of its crazy speed and the ability it has to outrun them back to the dome of death to safety
Though when i read on internet ( not wiki ) it says
for the apache
The maximum and cruise speeds of the helicopter are 279km/h and 260km/h respectively
Mi-28 flys at a cruising speed for 270km and at a maximum speed of 300km
So how comes ingame the Apache wipes the ground with the havoc in terms of speed
Is this an easy thing to tweek?

I never had problems on fighting the apache with a havoc in pr, maybe you're doing it wrong, just fly arround 750-900 searching for them, if you find it lock on and fire the 2 missiles, if you miss the 2 missiles, tell the gunner to get him with his machinegun...

I suspect this has something to do with the fact the apache was made by the PR team, whereas teh havok is a vbf2 asset that has been tweaked, but personally I've not actually found a difference.

Yeah, good point. The apache is a lot faster though in game, iirc Level flight in game units the Apache flies at about 650 and the Mi-28 at 500.

We can tweak any code that involves the Helos handling, that's not restricted by the fact that its a vBF2 asset.

I'm not saying we are restricted, however each asset is done differently, an asset done from the ground up is bound to be different to an asset that is tweaked from elsewhere.
such as the BMP3.

Just replace the Mi28 with the Mi24
jk's
The Havoc DOES fly slower. Although dually noted...
Havoc
150 kt (279
kph) 153 kt (284
kph)
Apache
airspeed of 145
miles per hour
Not sure about the correct calcualtions of MPH to KPH, but thought i'd mention it
