OK, so I download, install, and update the PR 0917 stuff, and when I start, I immediately get a message that says "A program has caused pr.exe to stop working correctly" and It shuts down PR. WHAT AM I DOING WRONG???

Run it as the administrator by right clicking, properties, compatability then select the option run as administrator then start it up again.

Yeah I'm already an admin.

still have to right click and Run as Admin.

Make sure you install BF2 patch 1.41, then BF2 patch 1.50, then PR 9.17 part one then 2.
Run as admin and try running in compatibility with Windows XP SP 3, located in the PR launcher's properties.
Let me know how you get on.

Try running it in compatibility mode.

I think i had this same problem with windows 7.

If i remember it happened because i think i did'nt reboot after i installed the BF2 program after i installed it from the cd's.

I know its a pain but i think the installation process is...
bf2 reboot
then 1.4xx patch
then 1.5xx patch
then PR mod

and then you run administrator and possible also in compatability mode try XP SP2 or XP sp3 if it doesnt work with only administrator on.

I've only started using this Mod myself, I had a similar problem starting PR myself on Win7.
Try running PR.exe directly from your EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\ folder
it worked for me.
