Fallujah West Sky

I searched and I couldnt find a thread on this so is it possible to change the sky on fallujah? Ive spoken to Marines who fought there and they said it was overcast..

Fallujah ran over more than one day. It's fair to say the weather changed over the course of it.

Is it really that important? really? the day of the battle in PR could have been one of the days when it was sunny. just my opinion

PR does not have any definitive timeline nor setting. Thus the battle could take place at any time in the last few years, or even in the future, it really makes no difference whatsoever. The period you refer to was of course inspiration but it is not a precise recreation.

changing the sky usually means changing teh position of the sun, you can rotate the sky texture, but the height of the sun on the texture is usually differnet, so unless its only a small position change you would have to LM the entire map again, which is a lengthly process and not worth the effort.

If someone from the team is up for lightmapping it, I'd be interested to know what it looks like, if it does anything to the whole "feeling". I doubt it's going to happen though. Perhaps a PR event could pick it up some day, a simple sky- and colorchange and see where it goes.

You could always change it and make some screenshots, so we all know what it looks like. If enough people like it, I'm sure you could arrange an event for it.
