Hi, Could someone tell me what patches I need to install after I have install the battlefield 2 disk?? Thankyou!!

For PR to work correctly, install in this order:

BF2 patch 1.41
BF2 patch 1.50

then

PR part 1 and 2 in order

What patch is Pr 1 and 2? I don't see a patch that says Part 1 and 2. Thanks!!

if you go to downloads there'll be "client (v0.91 full - part 1 of 2)" and "2 of 2".

Some versions of BF2 that you can buy (such as the Steam one) are already patched to 1.41 or 1.5, though. If that is the case, you obviously do not need to install those.

Then the usual stuff:
Please take the time to read the manual (play a round or two of normal BF2 maybe so you get to know the basics of the game mechanics), and if you can, use VoIP on PR servers, and eventually, you might want to try the program called Mumble that works similar to teamspeak, with the difference that people can hear you depending on your position in-game, which can help with talking to people who are locally close to you but not in your squad - some servers require mumble or at least prefer people to use it. But you can play without it on other servers, too, so don't worry about that until everything else works fine.

this is if you had a previous ver of PR and only wnat to patch it up/install a whole new game again. Bassicly meaning it updates the older ver if you have it. You don't need to worry about this now, download part one and two, install aprt 1 first (obv) then part 2 (obv) that'll give you the full PR mod, you can now play online with the rest of us.

also you'll want to go to PunkBuster Online Countermeasures and download the client file for bf2 and check for updates.

I did everything you guys told me to do and the game doesn't work for me. I patched it and it told me to make a new name which I did. It then told me in big red words that it wasn't the right version even though I downloaded the patches you told me to. It then told me to restart PR which I did and when I clicked to restart the game. It then said that there was an error and thst it was resetting all controls. Now when I click to start the game it just says not responding. Er... Any clues anyone?

I have windows 7 ultimate 64bit.

Does normal BF2 work?

Creating/retrieving an account always gives you an error, that's not a problem. I've seen the "resetting controls" error before as well, but it's cleared up on its own after a restart of PR for me.

Have you tried running in compatibility mode for XP SP 3?
