New Headset for Whino

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a new Headset that's pretty decent but not too expensive since I wont be using it much over my 5.1 sound system, mainly getting it because there is a little LAN coming up I'm going to ;)

I'm really looking for a Headset with normal headphone plugs etc, not looking for a USB one (unless someone can prove to me its worth getting a USB one over normal) and while I'm at it I'm also looking for one of thous switches that you plug both your speakers and headphones into, and then you can switch a switch to change where the sound is channelled to, ie the speakers or the headset :)

I'm not looking for anything too expensive and something good quality, willing to spend upto ?50, possibly more but would be a little reluctant over ?50 but if there is a much better headset over ?50 that's really worth the price I would consider it.

Cheers guys :D

I recommend the Creative Fatal1ty.

Buy Creative Fatal1ty Gaming Headset - Headphones & Headsets - Creative Store (UK)

Very comfortable, adjustable, very good sound and microphone quality.
Not too big, not too expensive.

Just an addon to Terror

Theres currently a few versions of the Fatal1ty, the new one linked Here.

I'm currently wearing the original jack stick which is alright. At first it isn't very comfy but once its warn in there's no problems. The cable length is decent, how ever the quality isn't, I'm on my second fatal1ty after the first one broke due to a frayed cable. Simple solution is just to put tape on the ends of the cables when you get it out the box.

Over all if you want a decent headset that should last for a while then its worth getting, may be an idea to look into the mk II though.
