Combat engineer make the C4 not stick to cars

i have seen it more and more people out right banning the use of them on INS maps, or people messing up the entire round by losing one.
it used to not be so bad with the INS teams not having a true resupply point in the main so they had to stay in the field and rearm off cashes, but now if they get a engi kit its there's for good if they die in main so what re spawn and go pick it back up.
so to stop this from getting out of hand with more and more people switching teams for the kit
lets just make C4 not stick to cars and such other drivable stuff
its that easy its not some world changing thing its just a simply c4 no longer sticks to cars like IEDs do now

I would actually agree BUT...
Make it unstickyfiable on INS maps (specially because 90% of the time it is an asshat that takes CE on insurgency without proper escort) + no HAT if possible... But sticky on AAS because... well... you know. Enemy bomb car that bombs his own team... or his own main... know what I'm saying?

I don't think it works like that goguapsy. I believe it's either sticky or not, regardless of the gamemode.
While it's the Blufor's fault for losing such an important (and entirely unecessary kit on Ins) kit I totally agree with this

I don't agree with this. Only because its common sense to NOT get a valuable kit lost on INS.
There is a reason why servers ban it completely because people don't listen to common sense....
I personally on INS take a kit to kill INS with.
I don't see the need for a CE kit in INS anyway?
Thermites easily take out caches.

C4 doesn't even cause damage to a cache anymore. Other than clearing mines, which I never see being done, there is no purpose for a Combat Engineer in Insurgency mode.

<--- personally witnessed a C4 loaded bomb bike TK a cache no less than 3 days ago

Some people suffer from 'special kits for special people' syndrome, where they feel inclined to get a limited kit to function properly. This is why people often get HATs on Insurgency, since they can't request anything else.
Its those same idiots that lose these valuable kits.

the kit is fine, it's the player that needs schooling.....

Well I have used it once to clear mines from the base entrance, then hid it back inside. A 'alt' CE kit would be interesting, right click and you get the same kit without C4/mine.

No it isn't. The only relevance HAT has on Insurgency is to take out caches in confined rooms which have windows, which I've only done once. The CE kit has no relevance at all, people may claim 'derp derp we need an EOD team' but the last thing the Insurgent is going to do is let the CE defuse an IED in front of his face.
The BLUFOR should not be on the defence, hence why the CE kit is practically useless on Insurgent maps.

<--- personally put four C4 blocks on a cache and detonated it without destroying the cache a week or two ago. Yes, the C4 did explode. Maybe yours blew it up because it was on a bike?

Too many rounds get ruined for BluFor simply because some noobs want to wear a cool hat. The introduction of a right click version of CE that would exclude C4 might give the idiots their kit and save the poor APC/Tank squads from having an aneurysm. Last night we managed to snag an enemy hat kit on Ramiel, which turned our horrific for the BluFor. Add in the fact that we had both their sniper kits on our team and you can see why limiting the ability for tards to hand over kits might be something to consider.
I always thought a nice solution would be allowing only squad leads the ability to request certain kits like HAT/CE/Sniper. This would have a secondary effect of keeping those kit stealers from joining the squad just to get a kit then 1 man lock their own UBERL33t squad.
The downside in some situations should squad lead be pinned by a tank and need someone who spawned behind the tank to take it out. Might not be the best solution for AAS situations, but for INS maps I'd like to see something done to limit the access of those specific kits. Too many rounds are completely ruined by one bone head who either doesn't know what he is doing or is going out with intent to die with his kit.

some people act like we are trying to take your engi kit away from you,we are not all the engi kit needs to be a good useful kit is for the C4 to not stick to car/bikes( think IED)
if the devs wanted the ins to make 15 bomb cars ever 10 seconds they would of made IEDs stick to cars.
the thing that gets me is not the fact that it makes the bomb cars its the fact u can never get that kit back once they have it unlike a hat, when the ins get to there main that's the end of getting that kit back its in there DOD and has a 5 min timer and most of the time u cant rape them for 5 mins to make it despawn because of sever rules

I stand corrected... Thanks.
Even stronger on my case...

This. But make it left click (noob-trap!)

That I must say is a good idea. Replace C4 with "Slams"

Thats why servers need adminig and banning for stupidity. One by one, retards will go away.

totally agree, slams were great when they were around, perfect for insurgency mode...no more bomb bikes...at least none that can travel longer than the timer on the slam charges!
