Hello. I am new to PR as i just started playing at .9. I have never played vBF2 since and have loved the community feel of PR. I enjoy playing on servers like NwA, NEW, =HOG+ (when im not banned for one reason or another) of TG (when its open). Anyway, i have gotten into flying transport helis, and according to other people, im not bad. If anyone has any tips at all, it would be much appreciated.

Welcome! Not much I can tell you about flying heli's, although I'd take a look at the Tactics and Strategies subsection in "Tales of the Front", there's bound to be something in there about it. :)

Hey there, Welcome to PR right off!

I'd say it's great that your not bad as a heli pilot so far, glad your not flipping them upon take-off, practice a bit with them and you can become quite good at it. I usually play on TG when I can and if you happen to see me on there and have any questions about the game if you've got some. Welcome to PR again and Good Luck on the battlefield!

Welcome to the Project Reality forums! :D

Just if your making a hovering drop-off, please go close enough to the ground so that the player doesn't bleed. That really grinds my gears :P

New version of PR is soon to come!

Hello Bob, welcome!
I have been playing since .5 and never have turned back to vBF2 since. This mod has come a long way over the years, and I enjoy playing it just as same as the day I began. Tips for a helo transport pilot: 1.) don't go on missions that are not asked for (dont go try to pick up a squad that doesn't ask for it, most of the time they get pissed you are hovering above them) 2.) when you drop off a squad make sure to drop supplies 3.) if you know the area is too hot for a safe drop, indicate over team chat that an alternative is needed 3.) you may need to stay on the pad for 5 minutes or more in order to have a mission (you chopper is worth a lot of tickets) 4.) don't transport one man, unless you have no other missions and his destination is legitametly safe.

If you are ever on the ground. 1.) learn to be a good medic (these are invaluable, and hard to come by) 2.) DONT take a scoped mg on insurgency when you plan to go into the city (it is a ***** to try to get a cache when there are 6 MG's shooting at you!!!!) 3.) play on the Hardcore server

my 2 cents

It's always recommendable to have a look at the threads in the PR In-Game Tactics and Strategies forum (PR In-Game Tactics and Strategies - Project Reality Forums) since there are many good guides, FAQs and helpful comments.
