hi its my first post hear
i just wanted to ask a question that nobody realy wants to answer ingame
so yeah why have they taken the pistols off the pilot kit
its realy unrealistic not to have them

So there is an incentive to get back to base via evac instead of suicide pistol ramboing the enemies.

For this, the pilot kit did have the pistol in. The DEVs removed it because smacktarded people were using it unrealistically. Example is a 6 man pilot squad going behind enemy lines to try and be "L33T" Thus, the DEVs removed them to stop this unwanted behavior. I like it, unrealistic? Yes. Better Gameplay? Yes. Must be brought back? No.

Also, pilots are not to go out in infantry units fighting, their MAIN and ONLY role is to well, PILOT the aircraft/helicopters. And if they get shot down, they must call for evac, not fight

iirc they were took out so people didnt get into choppers and bail out with them and then be like james bond

Pistols were removed from pilot kits to prevent pilot "paratrooper" squads that were rather prevalent in previous versions.
