Kiowa question

Hey all; I'm both curious, tremendously excited, wanting to practice, and cannot discern the answer from trailers or blogs; what are the planned loadouts for the Kiowa Warrior?
What is the angle on the MMS, as in how low will it have to hover to get an effective lase on a target?[R-DEV]Jaymz wrote: Co-Pilot can operate the MMS which has 360 degree view and day/thermal capabilities.
No matter what the rest said, if i can fly that baby with a copilot in a AH64D squad, enemy will have hard time getting anywhere...[R-DEV]Jaymz wrote: Co-Pilot can operate the MMS which has 360 degree view and day/thermal capabilities.
Well, its not like it shouldn't be used as a attack chopper, while its main role is observation, it has been pushed into front line attack roles, specifically in insurgencies. What I'd like to do on this "Kokan" map is actually stop a insurgent bike by firing .50 in its path and hovering above it, like a Kiowa did in a video I once saw.Hotrod525 wrote:No matter what the rest said, if i can fly that baby with a copilot in a AH64D squad, enemy will have hard time getting anywhere...That will just crush the thing
Even if i honestly fear that the OH-58D will became a AH-58D... but i'm confident that PR Community will use it properly![]()
Yeah but for every load out, you need to remodel the entire thing... wich take alot of time and also add alot of weight to an already realy heavy mod.Drunkenup wrote:Well, its not like it shouldn't be used as a attack chopper, while its main role is observation, it has been pushed into front line attack roles, specifically in insurgencies. To add on to what Jaymz said, the Kiowa is very very flexible. On its two pylons it can carry a combination of:
-7 round LAU-61 70mm Hydra launchers
-M296 .50 (basically a M2 that's air-cooled, aircraft operated, and fires faster)
-2 AGM-114s
-2 AIM-92 ATAS
and I believe there were tests to mount the GAU-19, a 3-barrel gatling operating .50.
Nope, they would need one model of the helicopter, and on of every guns, then they could use child objects and attach the weapons via the game engine or something like that. At least that's how I've understood itHotrod525 wrote:Yeah but for every load out, you need to remodel the entire thing... wich take alot of time and also add alot of weight to an already realy heavy mod.
