hi, i just discovered the mod "project reality" from a friend of mine. i heard it was pretty realistic. I play modern warfare 2 all the time and i think that it is the most realistic game ever. i watched a video of pr and it looked pretty not realistic. can someone clear this up for me or something?

Project Reality is far more realistic than MW2. We have military advisor who are or have been part of the Armed Forces in many countries around the world, we get hands on the weapons and kit we make to go ingame and we do everything we can to make PR realistic as possible, limited by what the BF2 engine is capable of while also keeping it a fun game at the same time.

PR is the next best thing to a simulator other than possibly ARMA2.

In real life, maps aren't the size of football fields like they are in MW2. Guns actually are harder to shoot, you must aim down the sights, and teamwork is key to survival. All of the points that Rhino makes are perfect reasons why it is about as realistic as games get (nxt to Arma 2 and PR: Arma).

This guy is obviously a troll, don't even bother.

No person in their right mind would be stupid enough to believe MW2 is more realistic than PR.

PR is supposedly realistic because of the Teamwork it involves, basically. Also the current vehicles and weapons used, everything.

What made you consider MW2 realistic? If it was the graphics, PR won't have that. Dude, you'll see... Play it, and you'll feel it.

Is it not just mind-boggling how awesome the PR team are??? I am perpetually at awe. with every aspect.

Like for example, the sounds and special effects of an ak-47 firing a round in PR. its just real. BOOM! no other game does this with guns like PR. none.

Dude are you kidding me? You think modern warfare is even remotely realistic? You must not know what goes into realism man because Modern Warfare is not even realistic except only in a few concepts. Regenerative health, everyone uses the same weapons, huge amounts of death, little real teamwork and cohension etc. Not saying its not a good game but far from many concepts of realism. Sing;eplayer is more realistic in structure than multiplayer but even still. If you want to know what realism really is, research it.

I don't know what video you watched but any video of PR should give some indication to the realism the mod offers. With what Rhino said and others said its probably one of the most realistic shooters you can get at that its only a mod. Do a little more digging with your videos and the various PR content on the forums, you'll see more what its all about.

I want you, original poster, to point us the realistic aspects you see in MW2 and the unrealistic points you see in PR.
