I am looking to make some more room on my HDD and was wondering if it would be okay if I deleted the old BF2 maps. Would eveything still work okay ? I plan on keeping the most used multilpayer maps like Karkland, but thats the only one I know since I got BF2 just to play PR. Are there any others you suggest keeping. Thanks

Yes just go into C:// -> Programs -> EA Games -> Battlefield 2 -> mods -> BF2 -> levels and delete away.

You don't need any of them for PR.

keep some of the air maps, they're good for when PR servers are low on players/all full/wnat a quick 15 min game.

Speaking of which is there anything else I can mercilessly crush from vanilla files?

Can we delete any of the BF2 _client or _server archives? (eg. Booster_client.zip) Or folders inside them? They're the largest files apart from the levels.

I got rid of these folders:

- /mods/bf2/movies (BF2 intros and menu backgrounds)
- /support (Random help files)
- /supportxp1 (More of the above)
- /redist (Gamespy Installers...)

No, many of these _client.zip and _server.zip files are used by PR.
