Hallo Forum

Ich habe ein Problem, und ich hoffe ihr k?nnt mir weiterhelfen.
Sobald ich die neue Version von PR starten m?chte, kommt nur das Icon von PR und mehr passiert nicht O.o
ich habe schon mit admin und xp sp2 Kompatiblit?tsmodus gestartet, hat nicht geholfen.
Ich habe auch alle Patches von Bf2 und alles ordnungsgem?? installiert... ich hoffe jemand wei? was ich tun kann

mmh.. moegliche Loesungsvorschlaege:
1. Als Administrator angemeldet sein (ich sehe gerade, das hast du schon probiert)
2. einen klassischen aber dennoch sehr wirksamen Neustart.
3. alles loeschen was im ...\Eigene Dateien\Battlefield 2\mods\bf2\cache Ordner ist.

Ich hab' das selbe Problem, ich hab sogar versucht mit CFFexplorer die Datei zu ver?ndern, hilft alles nichts.

Danke f?r die Vorschlaege, aber hat alles nicht geholfen...

hat irgendwer hier den keine loesung?

Das ist mir beim ersten Mal mit der neuen Version auch passiert. Du hast wahrscheinlich auf das Icon von PR v.0917 geklickt. Achte darauf das da PR 0.957 steht.

In English:

I've also had this problem the first time I played the new version.
You probably clicked on the icon of PR v.0917. Make sure you choose PR v.0957 instead.

Each time I try firing up the new PR version I only get to see the PR icon and thats all that happens.
I already tried "run as administrator" as well as the XP compatibility mode to no avail.
I really do hope somebody can tell me what to do.

What he also did was deleting his game cache at his profile directory. Didn't work.

I have the same problem. If I PR start appear only the logo. Off then PR.exe does not give a feedback. I already tried all hints written here.
BF2 van. runs normally.

I use WIN 7 64

There is a file .... prError.log, found in your PR directory. Post its contents.

Im Verzeichnis von PR gibt es eine Datei mit dem Namen "prError.log". Diese mit einem Texteditor oeffnen und den Inhalt hier posten.

Did the part 3 of your PR install crash? That happened to me, and I got the same problems described in this thread.
Installed part 3 again(this time answering no to all punkbuster questions), the install did not crash and PR is now working.

(I have win 7 64bit btw)

Hattest Du irgendwelche Schwierigkeiten bei der Installation des letzten Teils (pr_0957_full_part3of3_setup.exe) wie zB ein fruehzeitiger Absturz der Installation? Bei mir war es naemlich genau so mit den im Anschluss hier beschriebenen Problemen beim Starten.
Nachdem ich nun den 3. Teil nochmal installiert habe - diesmal habe ich aber nicht alle Punkbuster Dialoge beantwortet (?) - ist die Installation durchgelaufen und das Spiel laeuft jetzt.
Ich benutzte auch Windows 7 64bit.

Could you clarify on that statement a bit? Isn't quite clear what exactly you have done at that point differently.

Warum hat der Pfad backslashes (\) und slashes (/) ? ein normaler Pfad wird immer nur mit \ geschrieben...kann es sein, dass du bei der Installation von PR die beiden Zeichen vertauscht hast, PR auf einem merkw?rdigen Pfad installiert hast und es deshalb keine Verkn?pfungen zu BF2 ziehen konnte? Wuerde auch die Fehlemeldung ungueltiges Verzeichnis erklaeren.

Na ja das ist ja lediglich das Verzeichnis in dem die Profile abgelegt werden.
Die Slashes koennten durchaus legitim sein, aber dazu muesste man die Entwickler fragen.
Ich wuerde einfach mal schauen wo deine Profile abgelegt sind und ggf die Verzeichnisstruktur so wie in der Fehlermeldung gesehen anlegen und deine Profile aus dem jetzigen Profileverzeichnis rueberkopieren.
Wenn das nicht hilft, ich finde das Ganze schreit nach einer sauberen Neuinstallation.

Could you clarify on that statement a bit? Isn't quite clear what exactly you have done at that point differently.

During the PR install, I get two popups asking if I want to update punkbuster.

@ Chase Armitage: Neuinstalliert hatte (mehrmals). BF2 Van. und FH2 liefen ja auch.
