0.95 Commander UAV question

im not sure if this is a bug or a feature so i post it here instead of the bug forum.

i just tried out the new UAV on a local server, map = Wanda Shan, and i recognized that i get hurt and die within seconds when the UAV flies through the no combat zone (enemy main base area).

is this supposed to happen to the commander? it happened to me on both sides, chinese and russian.

if its a feature: without knowing the exact borders of a no combat zone it may be pretty hard to set the UAV correctly sometimes. do main bases or similar no combat zones (e.g. the "defense shield" on Jabal or Muttrah) have specified ranges, so the commander may be able to somehow estimate where he could set the UAV without taking the risk to accidently get into the dead zone?

ps: how big is the circle range of the UAV?

Yea, we can't do much about that, it's an annoying thing though, indeed.

Well, two numbers would fix it: The radius of the dome of death, and the radius of the UAV flight path. If the commander has those numbers, he can avoid this. Perhaps add the dome of death sizes next to main bases on the map (maybe only on the commander map), and make the circle size of the UAV visible somewhere too?

^^^ that would lead to exploitation

How? I mean, if I wanted, I could find out the dome of death size myself... But how would I exploit that?

its not about spying, its about using a feature and getting wounded by accidently getting in conflict with another feature. imagine smaller maps and using the UAV ...rough, but on 4km2 this "problem" is truly avoidable.

i appreciate dead zones! dont get me wrong here. but if its impossible to fix im sure we all will find a way to deal with it, its not that hard since you can use the 3x zoom to check areas which may be in a distance.
