I always get kicked by punkbuster for that after some time and yes, I've allready tried the suggestions in the sticky punkbuster solutions. Nothing seems to help...

It's a great game, but I'm getting desparite and frustrated because I just can't enjoy it because of the lag and than the kick that follows. I've never been able to play a whole round without being kicked by punkbuster.

I'm not the only one having this problem, so I hope somebody can solve this and post the solution in a sticky post on the forum.

I have windows 7, 2G RAM, 500G hard-disk, NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS and a dual core processor and I have Bitdefender as anti-virus.

Please help

Is it possible that I need to forward some ports to get punkbusterB.exe in and out?

Having the same problem, man. Is yours also stuttering like hell? I know it's not my computers' performance because it'll run fine for about 15 seconds and then act like it just ran into some horrible lag for about 7 seconds. And it's not as bad if I join a game with only 24 people. Was on a server with about 63 people and it was pretty bad, then it proceeded to kick me for this same "punkbuster heartbeats" issue. Wondering if this is directly related to the stuttering problem mine is having. :

I hope this helps, I helped for me and now I'm playing without any lag

Finally solved pnkbstrB.exe heartbeats stopped error !!!
I used a combination of 2 things for my last attempt to fix it: this one is the first

start the pbsvc, and Remove punkbuster, and go to the map of battlefield (c:/programm/EA/
and remove the punkbuster named "pb" map.

after this, DONT REINSTALL PUNKBUSTER WITH PBSVC

close pbsvc, restart pc, and then go to punbuster update (PBsetup),
now if you start pbsetup, you will see it did not find the client, and server of it,
but it does not matter, just click on update,

and it will automaticly REINTALL punkbuster and update it,

And second: turn textures and lightning ingame to medium.
After that, I had no problems and everything ran smooth
Finally I'm able to enjoy the gameplay ^^

I havent really had another PnkbsterB problem since I just manually updated it by going to evenbalance.com and getting PBsetup. The main thing now is the stuttering and I'm pretty sure I've solved it. Appearently my computer doesnt like it when I have the anti-alaising on 8x. I can turn it off with everything still on high, view distance on %100, and it works fine. (Except for the occasional little split second stutter that is caused by lag on the server's part.)
