New maps are sluggish

Hello, I'm running a good median system that gets very playable fps @ 1280x768 on maps which are original to the game. However, new maps - specifically night maps - run VERY sluggishly. I'm aware that most BF2 enthusiasts probably have over-muscled machines - but mine with a PM 1.6, 2Gb RAM, and a Radeon 9700, is still quite respectable. The new maps need to be optimized, or the lighting effects that are unique to night maps might need to be tweaked for better performance.
Thanks

I've got every account in three: One for day maps and general gaming, one for SF and Iron Gator and one for night maps. Night maps in PR are generally more FPS friendly than those in Special Forces.

On my old machine I used to drop frames whenever I looked south on CP Abadan, despite getting a steady 60FPS everywhere else on the map.

How do you find out how many frames per second you are getting?.

open your console (key beneath ESC on your keyboard) and type command renderer.drawfps 1

Thats probally because we arent using SF shaders. If we were, it would be stealing, so PR uses default. (I think this is correct. I know for sure we dont use SF shaders though)
