Are pitch controlled rocket pods possible?

This is not a suggestion thread, as I realize suggestions are currently on hold and I don't even know if such an idea is possible.

My question though:
The Apache has pitch controlled rocket pods (Real life), which allows it to fire Hydras at a downward angle from a stable hover.

Some vehicles in the FH2 mod, specifically the landing craft and APCs, have doors or armored driver view plates which can be manipulated (open/up, closed/down) with the up and down arrow keys.

Is a similar thing possible for manipulation of the rocket pods on the Apache? Or, do weapon package placement nodes on models differ from inert armor protection (doors/view plates/etc.)?
---------
Thanks in advance and apologies if the question has been posed in the past (I did search :sad :) .

Battlefield Pirate 2 did something like this with side guns on biggest boat, I don't know how possible it is to do it for helo though. Not to mention the hud wich would give you a wrong aiming crosshair as soon as the rocket pods aren't lined with the helo anymore.

It should be, but TBH it would probably require the implementation of the pilot MTADS/PNVS system.

If I could make a point, if we can find out how to do this, we could implement this in the form of a engine.... = Realistic Harrier = win win win win win

Interesting that there is a post in the BlackSandStudios forum a year ago about a Harrier from Project Reality....

Yeah that was in a while ago along with the V22, but iirc they never made it into full status

Well, Clivewell did the Osprey for AIX (didn't get implemented, but NAW was allowed to use it) that had engines which automatically moved from vertical to horizontal (full visuals).

There was also a Harrier, either in AIX or NAW, that also had an adjustable engine.

So engines seem to be fully possible, my main concern was whether weapon system trajectories could be changed (without creating a duplicate weapon substitution)... as I knew rules for nodes were different for different elements.

I think the example Nitneuc cited demonstrated to me that it is possible, so I'll ask that the thread be closed and offer this as a suggestion once the board reopens.

Thanks to everyone who offered insight.

Yes its possible, the same way we angle mortars etc to fire upwards etc.

I dunno if it will work with "rotating an engine" but tbh we have never really tried.

As I've said many times before, it "never made it into full status" because currently there is no maps to use it on and now the amount of maps we can use the Harrier GR9 (British one, not the USMC AV-8B one) has drastically reduced now that the Harrier GR9 has been retried from service :(

PR Has a different V-22 model made by the RC mod many years ago which when they shut down they gave it to us, although the model is pretty low quality and the AIX one is much better but right now, it has the same problem as the Harrier as in we have no maps large enough to use it on.

Also the engines on the V-22 in AIX/N@W work in the same way as the vBF2 F-35B, which is the engine visually rotates but in fact code wise, all it is is two engines, one for forward flight and the other for vertical flight.
