I was in APC , i get shot by RPG , it sets on fire and blows up.. TEAM VEICHLE DAMAGE... one word springs to mind " LOL ".
Did i really just damage my own veichle... hmmmm i dont think i did , lemme check... gets out and checks..... Nope enemy RPG still embeded in side of APC.

I have seen some odd "Team vehicle damage" warnings as well.

I had just fired an AA missile at an enemy jet, who in turn fires at a friendly jet he is chasing. His missile hits and kills the friendly and I get the "team vehicle damage"...... then he blows up as my missile hits him.

The hit detection and attribution factors can be a bit "wonky" in BF2, its a pretty old engine.

Nope it was on one of the newer maps, but i forget the name..

On insurgency maps, if using the BLUFOR mortars you can usually tell if you're on target or not when "Team vehicle damage!" flashes up when you start hitting near the wreck of Bravo squad's destroyed Landie which they charged straight into the cache.

I get this message if I blow up friendly vehicle wreckage.
