Mortar ammo linked together.

PLaying as US on Kokan I had the mortar round ammo linked together. Both of the damage rounds(IM and PKK?) would decrease and increase the same, but the smoke round ammo was separate. Refilling ammo myslef and having another squad member re-load caused the ammo to reload at the same rate too. I tried to cycle through with "F" key, use 1-2 to change rounds inbetween firing, change fast, wait for re-load to change rounds. Used all IM rounds then switch. nothing corrected it, even burned the mortar position and changed position, still had the same problem.
Will try on other servers too.
Kokan map 64 layer.
other players in the mortars did not have this issue.

That's working as intended, see the mortar thread in the highlights section.

Had same thing, dont know if its bug. Maybe you can set those rounds to either hit on contact or hit above ground.

Not that I doubt you spawncaptain, but I searched the manual, the mortar thread, and the forum. I could not find a reference about this. I asked 2 other squad members what theirs was doing they said their ammo was not doing what mine was doing. Perhaps I did not explain it well and they had no idea what I was asking...?

I have the same, and I'm pretty sure it's intentional :p

Those mortar rounds IRL have a fuse that you set before firing; the "IM" round is just a round set for impact detonation, "PRX" round is one with the fuse set to detonate shortly above the ground.

They're not actually different rounds.

It's entirely intentional.

That totally makes sense. Thanks for that irl clarification.
