Dome of Death in Burning Sands

Today I noticed there is a Dome of Death with a 30 sec timer near the Bunkers in the SW quarter of the map.
It's roughly this shape:
Can anyone tell me why it is there?
Seems strange so close to a normal flag location, extending into the desert. And afaik there is no MEC spawn ore something...

I think it's a bug and will be removed, not sure tho. There also might be a secret bear kit there
.
