I know nothing of viruses/trojans and the likes, any help?

Also can i delete windows.old ? i have no intention of using it.

Yes, you may delete windows.old. It simply saves your old files from the install you overwrote, there are no system files inside it.

This. The 'Generic' finds also makes me think this might be the case. I think you should do some googling and possibly scan with another software before deleting.
