Soooo, today I was on the NwA Server, playing on Silent Eagle, and I was sitting in the Havoc, Gunning! MOHAHAHAHA! :razz:

So i started the round, and I saw a nice little firefight up in the hills of central village.

and i thought a burst would do it, but no, those where friendlies, so one TK on me.

But then, our little spotter down on the battlefield encountered a sqaud, he called for us, and ratatatatata and the squad of 5 were gone.

We then scout ahead, and we see a tank behind a tank, and i thought: "hmm i see only one tank on the map" i turned of the infrared and i see its a German tank.

That tank got served with a nice hellfire!

and there is so much more i wanna tell but i'm tired :razz:

Credz to Fatmanganja for flying and our spotter and the russian MiG pilot in our CAS squad.

Also my KDR was 31-5 at the end of the round. :p

Thermal Vision + Havoc = SO MUCH WIN! :shock:

They should change the terminal switch button on the gunner to the right mouse button. Hitting T and then click is a hassle if you have to check the targets all the time. But thats an other story :)

Yeah i have yet to really have a full round with a chopper without getting ctds disconnects etc.

I would like to make a new video.

I like this. :)

Important to check targets for sure. I got lit up in a BMP on Burning Sands the other day by a friendly havoc. Pilot always gets mad at how long it takes to check targets, but once you get 3 or 4 thermal signatures going, you need to check which are enemy, friendly, or dead armor corpses. Handy to spot things you may miss though. Still prefer spotter eyes on the target.

You can use both to click the thermal button I believe.

No you cannot, you have to press the T button and then left or right click.

However i made a little scrip that changes things around. When active i can just press my left shift button to change to flir and back.

Ive made it into a little exe file, however if anyone wants to change the buttons heres the script:

Code: Select all

$RWin::Suspend
$LShift::
{
Send {t down}
Send {LButton down}
Sleep 300
Send {LButton up}
Send {t up}
}

return

You could possibly make a macro that pushed T then clicked?

Oh I see, I misread what he was saying.

Also, thank you for the file, it will come in handy. :)

Let me know if it works alright. It might not work if your computer is too slow. It works perfectly fine on my machine and on a friend of mine though.

Wouldn't that macro mean if you're infantry on the ground and you went to pull up your sights, then the 't' screen would appear? Would need to turn it on and off upon getting in and out of choppers.

The script i made uses the left shift to run the script. You can turn the script on and off with the right windows key.

Its best to use a unused button while in a vehicle. As the right mouse button is often used a the machine gun. And the left shift button is easily reached.
