When shot and bloody I use my field dressing, and it does not stop the bleeding. I will grab any kit around me, if it is not a "usable" kit I will drop the field dressing and grab my kit back. the field dressing does not seem to do anything or possibly does help, but very little. I have done this with 3-4 field dressings with very little change in my health. If I grab a kit that is "usable" and keep it while i am on the field dressing it helps like it should.

I just get shot, have bleeding effect switch kit long enough to drop field dressing and switch back. No particular conditions.

maybe you where just really low on health. You have to reach a certain Health before you will stop bleeding.

Perhaps, maybe the new bleeding effects have got me all screwed up.?.?.?

This has not been an issue for me, bandages work regardless of the kit I take them from.

To stop severe bleeding (even if not black'n'white), you need 3 field dressings applied very shortly one after the other.

Being that, it might not be possible to stop severe bleeding if you must switch between 3 different kits.

EDIT: Supposing there is no one near. Sometimes, the field dressing can get selective and choose to heal your scratched teammate, 5 meters away... Like the ammo bag.

You must carry the enemy kit until the field dressing has been applied. I don't think this is a bug though. It's probably in place so it's still possible to take a field dressing from an enemy you killed, but it's now a risk to stop and search his body for a field dressing close to any enemies because it's going to take more time until you're combat ready.
