How do you like it? I personally think that while it's a great concept, it's overshadowed by BMP-3s, and the need for follow-up shots if engaging MBTs. In other words, I like it, but the missiles either need to be more powerful against tanks, or a faster reload time..

I wouldnt know because the servers in my area have some irrational fear of playing Russian maps.

Quite a lot of people don't really want to play Russian maps for some strange reason. In my opinion, it is quite fun. But the MT-LB is quite a good concept and very nice, though the maps that it is on for MEC, I don't like very much.

Yep Red Dawn will do that. Back on topic though, the Shturm really does need a decreased reload time to be the tank killer that the Spandrel was. Due to thermals its life is pretty short and usually it dies before the second shot is let off.

Only ever had them fit into mech formations so far, not got round to crewing one. I love the MTLB's though.

Well it's not a Spandrel and it's not a tank either :fryingpan like Tim suggests, the best way to use it would be with a tank/IFV formation to give them the extra edge over enemy armor or ambush.

Probably because they're on the 'good guys' team?

Pretty much this. The BMP3 does everything the Shturm does and more, and it performs the anti-tank role better than the shturm does too.

It isn't all that strange really, they (for most of the people I've asked, opinions :D ) aren't a fun faction equipment wise and have almost no cool maps to play on.

Equipment-wise in my opinion it is the most fun to play of all factions. The maps are good, but there's not many combined arms maps.

I killed an M1A2 with a single missile on Kashan. Engaged it from behind though.
