[0.957d] Challenger coaxial 3p continuous fire

While playing on Dragonfly last night (as militia) we heard a Challenger cruising around west of us, firing at other squads. At one point we noticed that it had been firing its coaxial for an inordinate amount of time. This was in fact a good thing for us because it allowed us to track it quite accurately (it seemed to be rather loud). When we eventually got eyes on the tank, we noticed the sound was playing but he wasn't actually firing. All players could hear it, although I didn't think to ask the tank crew if they could hear it.

The bug sorted itself out when the crew fired the real coaxial at us.



This is the first time I've ever heard/seen it. Dragonfly_64

Bugs like this have happened before. I believe this is also a vBF2 bug.

Also can occur in the gunners position on the AAV. And hes right, this is a bug from BF2. Happened with small arms as well, didn't stop until they fired the weapon again.

This patch is the first time i've ever heard or seen it in both PR and bfv

Very, very old bug. Goes back to 1.0 vBF2 I belive.

What he means is that that bug probably came from the unmodded version, so probably it's not fixable, just like in some occasions when you can get 7 ppl in your squad (discussion to force this has been made, but it got to the conclusion that it was impossible to make that bug happen, or fix). Also, the lack of fast ropes is also a vbf2 bug, therefore it cannot be fixed.

Other words, that bug isn't the DEVs' fault. It's DICE's.
