Grenade realism/shrapnel

well in real life there would be srapnell expoldin out of nades can u add for the sake of realsim srapnell!! u could make it like a shot gun the belets shooting in random directions evry were !! sorta like this.

i was thinkin if the shrapnell hit u it would do more damage like in real life!
it would be sweet ! just a sugestion tho. my spelliing is teh suxor

I'm not sure if it'd be possible, although like I said, I think the effect is fine right now. For all we know, the effect may already be mimicked by BF2. It certainly seems like sometimes frags that should've killed me didn't, while others that were farther away did. They might just have the general explosion properties like other things, though, I suppose.

Increasing the explosion/kill radius is the best way. Which is already beefed up for the mod.

i dont think u understand what imm saying the granade shoots out shrapnell along with a exposion like a real neade( like a shot gun)

Uhm...Yeah...I do understand. In the game its the explosion that kills you though, and you cannot change that. Adding pretty little effects is all your asking.

i dont know if you can make this but it would be REALY realistic
i would die to see shrapnell coming out of greanades and shooting every were so u can get kills from farther away from the grenade with the flying shreapnell like a shot gun!! 8)

oh btw does the grenade launcher have a spherical damage area or a conic rear-oriented shrapnel area like the ones I used in the army ?

some how I seem to remember suggesting a few months back regards the
L109 Hand Grenade used by the British and it can cause casualties up to
190m.

P.S. no I aint flaming, I am just mentioning that it has already been mentioned

Any chance of abit a larger radius on the shock affect. The visual and sound blur affect plays a large role in the affect of grenades, it is this that makes people more aware of when one goes off and in long run ensures people take cover.

It reminds players of the danger that grenades pose, and a i think a slightly increased shock area would be only benificial to PR gameplay and development of players in tactical terms.
