Hya All,

No sound in game or in menu's..at all

Guys cant hear me on Teamspeak..or me them either once I start up the game.

Started up BF2 prior to running .095 for first time..worked fine, after running 0.95 for first time..now BF2 freezes on Battlefield 2 logo..just as the "movie" clip starts up..NO SOUND EITHER NOW :O

No sound card, on board sound..speakers set as default and in game option set to software




What Ive Tried -

*Tried changing from Software to hardware etc sound in game menu
*Tried running in compatibility mode Windows XP SP 3 (Both PR.exe AND Bf2)
* Tried Setting GPU's to SLi on and off ..just in case


* ALL MY DRIVERS ARE UP TO DATE AND I'M RUNNING IN ADMINSTRATOR ON BOTH .EXE'S TOO

i7 950 cpu
Win 7 64 bit
X58 SLi MB
2 x GTX 295 GPU's
6gb Dominator RAM

Maybe an application is taking exclusive control of the speakers locking others out.
Try this:

1. Right click your speaker icon
2. click "Playback devices"
3. right click on your sound output device (usually "Speakers")
4. select properties
5. go to "Advanced"-Tab
6. untick "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device"

while you are at it, I suggest you check if your sounds aren't reduced when using VOIP applications like TS, Mumble or Vent:

1. go to "Communications"-Tab in the sound dialog and
2. select "Do nothing"
