When I run PR0.95 as Administrator or start up Battlefield 2 normally. The loading screen comes up then it turns to a black screen for about 5 seconds then returns to the desktop. I looked at several forums on other websites that say they can cure the problem and made me mess it up forcing me to reinstall BF2 and PR0.95 again.

My Screen Resolution is 1280 x 720 @60Hz
I am using Vista 32bit
I have more than double the minimum specifications for BF2

I could play Battlefield 2 before I installed PR.095

Any Answers or cures? Please, I'm desperate to play again.

NO. I WON'T REINSTALL . Done that 3 times already, uninstalled everythin then reinstalled BF2 patch 1.41 , 1.5 and PR0.95, still same black screen and returning to desktop

I've been having the same problem since I upgraded my computer to windows 7 basic so it has to be something to do with the OS. And Jordan, I understand you're trying to help but that is what everyone posts on all these crash reports and it doesn't do shit!

Yes when i installed my BF2 today i was playing BF2 fine...then i decided i was going to download PR after taking a long break when i installed PR i cant run BF2 or PR now...
i start it up and it goes from a light black color to a dark black color then goes back to desktop

I have the same problem here. BF2 worked fine until I installed PR. Then it shows the dogtag screen, the the screen goes black, then it exits altogether. Nothing running at all. I have no idea. Everything is installed properly.

i have same problem anyone have a solution?

just fixed mine i realized i was missing 1.41 and 1.5 here is what i did in the EXACT order i did it

1. Installed 1.41
2. Installed 1.5
3. reinstalled PR
4. loaded the game and it was working fine

Note: you must reinstall PR or it wont work for you...atleast it didt for me
