PR Lags on all high?

Alright, i'm pretty confused why my computer can't run a 2005 game on high settings, at a very low resolution. It can run but after 5 minutes of waiting to load, and 5 to actually get into the game I still freeze up when people shoot at me, around me, and any sudden sounds it seems like, AND when I go to a different area via heli/humvee, whatever moves fast.

System Specs:

ATI Radeon HD 4300/4500 Series (I think a 4250 to be exact)
2 GBs of RAM
AMD Quad Core, Phenom I

I think it may be the soul 2 Gigs of RAM slowing it down, but i'm not 100% sure. I may have to have my video card 'fine tuned' to get more performance out of it. I don't really like to play on very low graphics or else it looks like plain old BF2. Would it be faster to possibly run it multi-core or just on one single core?

Ram is your problem, upgrade it...PR needs at least 2-3GB to run perfectly, dont forget to add in other processes

lol do you even know what the HD4000 series are? They're integrated graphics (IGP)... akin to if you have an intel media accelerator 3000 series. For more information:

ATI Radeon HD 4250 - Notebookcheck.net Tech

Look at the benchmarks...

2GB of ram is the least of your worries. To try and play PR on that laptop would be like trying to tow a semi trailer with a smart car.

PR is a very taxing game... running at all low at >30fps would be an astounding accomplishment imo for that laptop.

Edit: Here's a benchmark of just midrange cards, look where the 4250 sits...
