Can people see what dead people write?

Hey, I got a question.

When one dies, does his voice chat and texts still go to the people that aren't dead? Or are they concealed so that the victim cannot reveal the position of the enemy or something?

No, when dead dead neither side can see what you're typing, except for those who are wounded or dead dead'ed themselves.

No offense, but I can't believe how many don't know this especially amongst the more experienced players. It causes a lot of confusion. For example, someone gets killed by a tank and he spots it for the team via chat but no-one actually sees it and later other people get killed by the tank and the guy who spotted goes 'read the chat ffs' or something like that.

By the way, people can't see your chat even if you are wounded, unless they are wounded too ofc.

Maybe this should be in the loading messages.

Definitely. Never knew that. Great thing tho. Just to bad people can still talk. Bet its that hard-code thingy that's prevents them from stopping that to. If they could, I think knives would be much (well, at least a bit..) more used. Stealth FTW!

Since they can still use Mumble / TS etc anyway, there's no point in restricting ingame VoIP.

I can still call for the Medic when wounded but not dead yet. (Can't move and stuff.)

I think so (Eventhough I found out just a couple of month ago) but remembering the old times it would make sense for a couple of situations I encountered when noone gave a **** about my chatting... :/

Yea if you're only wounded you can still spam 'YouGotItOkayINeedAMedicHereMEEDICOkayNoSir'

But Dead men tell no tales. Unless they have a microphone.

P.S. it has been that way in PR as long as I remember, don't know about vanilla.

This really needs to become a loading tip. Seriously. I've played since .7 and just figured that out a few weeks ago.
