Quick aim or scope

I bet this is a heated debate. Tell why, and Ur experiences with it.
I used to love scoped weapons, but I quickly discovered quick aims were so much better.
Main point: crouch, aim, and move fast. Plus, full auto while cqb and moving kiks absolute ***. Scope only let's you see farther, and maybe hit them if Ur a good shot. But I leave that up for the marksman.
G3 red dot ftw
Ak iron sights ftw
Tar 21 red dot ftw
G36 red dot ftw
M4 IDF medic ultra ftw (love it!!! Why doesn't the US military have M4a1's???)
But m16 is just a shitty weapon, but the acog rocks.
Qbz, it's debatable.

I have been using red dot lately mainly b/c of CQB but another is I dont want the INS getting a scoped rifle. Even in AAS I still use the red dot.

it depends upon the Map . . . OR what you are planning on doing .. . . you would use a scope if you were in a wide open map mountian filled . and a RedDot if you are in a city cache searches close combat. but honestly ... i dislike using the G3 ... there is somthing about it that i just ... cant get used too ... except the G3 Iron sights are fine for close/medium range combat. . . .

90% of the time i squad lead, and always choose red dot/irons ... love em

It really depends on the map and the situation. I think i use them about 50/50.
I used to hate the G3 as well, but now that they have red dot its one of my fav. in CQB.

Yeah, I squad lead a lot too, g3 is a beastly weapon whenused right, but has a steep learning curve. But I like it cuz it packs such a huge punch that full auto isn't necessary. He drawback is that it's a terrible suppressive fire weapon.

Scope, because i like to see what i am shooting at. For room clearing spray and pray without being scoped works way better than iron sight or red dot for me. The only alternative i find useful is the eotech.

I like the feel of using a scope because it gives me a good view of the person I am trying to shoot and I don't have to pull out the binocs. Yet, red dot and most reflex sights. For some reason, I hate the US medic reflex sight.

Since i am spraying in direct cqb i prefer the scope for all other situations. I hate to do pixelshots

M4A1 is essentially you get automatic, but with less reliability. I'd choose reliability.
AK74 ftw.

I used to dislike the G3 because of the Iron Sights, but with the addition of reflex sight I usually take that over a scope and let squad members or other heavy assets engage long range targets, seems to work
But as someone said I'd take reliability over pure 1337.

That dates back to Vietnam. Our boys were a bit too quick on the trigger, so they would simply waste a LOT of ammo on nothing. + Full auto = overheat = easier jamming.
Burst fire came as a balance of firepower (2 shots to the body, 1 to the head) and ammo consumption.
As I have a high ping, I tend to grab scoped weapons (acog/wtv, normally not marksman or anything like it) so I have a fighting chance. But sometimes, on CQB environments, I go for red dot, ironsights.

Oddly, my long range shooting is better with iron-sights, and I am good with scopes at close range :S

Yeah but I like full auto mainly cuz it let's me control my bursts, cuz sometimes I need 2 quick shots (long cqb 75m+) and 4 or more for cqb 0-50m. The three round burst is like driving an automatic car in a drag race. Glad they hand m4a1 to spec ops though, or I dont know how my friend (us special forces "green berets") would feel

Erm What? The Military (US) Stopped using (or upgraded) from the A1 for several reasons (mainly reliability issues) non of which were because we wasted ammo. The guns also jammed because the A1 was a "Self Cleaning Rifle" according to the government when they issued them, so the soldiers weren't issued cleaning kits until 1968.
Also Soldiers are trained to aim for the body's center of mass (Torso)
And the US Forces in game don't have M4A1's because the game depicts a regular Infantry Soldier not a Special Operations Soldier.

Your talking about the m16,not the A1,wich had a forward assist added and cleaning kits to reduce jamming.
The A1 also had safe/1/3 selector, and no full auto

Often scope, becoase in most situations I need scope more than "quick aim". Its usefull if you need to quicly check something over distance. In some close situations where shooting from hip, is not accurate and scope zooms too much, Iron sights/aimpoint would be usefull.
When backup sights come, it will be awesome.

in the US, the M4A1 is only used by special forces.
as for red dots, yeah, they do kinda rock. a guy with optics is always useful in the squad, but i prefer the reflex sights.
ironsights are questionable. AKS-74U's are nice because of the big open sights. same with the ironsights L85(or L22, whatever it is now). cant say i like regular AK or G3 ironsights though. you cant actually see what your shooting at.
