I install BF2 then install PR. I install BF2 as admin and run each PR setup as admin, and then when the PR banner show up right after clicking the shortcut it either disappears after 30 seconds and nothing happens or it says it has stopped responding. Please help?

Now I get to a black screen and then it minimizes and shows this Error "StaticMesh.fx(2): error X1507: failed to open source file: 'mods/xpack/shaders/datatypes.fx'"

I have the same problem too. I'm not sure about the error code that you are talking about but the loadup sequence is EXACTLY what happens to me. It seems that there is another post that someone has solved for this problem because it seems that the community members just down't want to answer this problem on some other posts. I suggest to keep looking at the other posts with the prefix as Windows 7. Good luck.

When looking for answers please follow these simple steps.

New PR problems are rare so most answers can be found here if you take the time to look BEFORE you post asking for help.

#2. Use the search feature on PRs web site or Google it!.
Often the quickest way to find what your looking for when you have an error message.
Use the search feature on PR's web site with your error code"error X1507"

Please read it. He found a fix for his problem and there's a very good chance it will work for you as well.

#3. Please remember to include your basic PC info in your post
You have spent some time trying to help yourself without any luck, so your ready to ask for help:

Please include your basic PC info in your post :
Operating system = XP, Vista etc.
systems specks = cpu/speed, ram installed, video card/video ram on card,type of monitor
network setup = cable, 4 port 10/100/1000 d- link gamers lounge/ wired connection.
And a brief history before and after problem started.
Please describe when your CTD or problem hits and
what you have already tried.
The more info you can give the better your chance of getting a quick answer back.
You don't have to write a book,
but your basic PC info is needed to help you.

There are multiple threads regarding "datatypes.fx", use that as a search term. I also like to use google rather then the forum search, then it would look like this: Google or this Google
