Windows 7 - HELP.

Hi all!
Just got my new laptop, and its running windows 7 64bit. I've been trying to get BF2 to run on it, and on first attempt, the patch to 1.41 failed. So, I uninstalled, reinstalled and I started to get an error message about something (I vaguely remember something to do with the shaders, but maybe not). I ran out of time, so left it a few days. When I tried again, I no longer got the message, but the screen goes black and then the system crashes straight back to the desktop. I've set it to run as administrator, and I've tried in and out of compatability mode for XP SP2. I thought it was maybe something to do with the way bf2 had installed so i installed pr and got exactly the same effect. Thanks for any help, I really want to get playing again!
