The game gets laggy sometimes advice please

Hi guys
I recently started playing PR for the first time but the game has been feeling laggy sometimes. Why is that? It's definitely not my computer because I just bought it new yesterday and it surpasses the recommended requirements specs and I have excellent internet connection. I'm I missing something? I'm I joining the wrong servers? Please help me guys.

Make sure to get newest drivers from the manufacturers (don't use windows default drivers, they are not optimized for gaming). Post your specs anyhow.
Does this happen on vBF2 servers as well?
Does it happen on local games too?

Here are my specs
Windows 7 home 64 bit
AMD Athlon II X2 220 dual core processor (2.8 Ghz)
NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE graphics
4GB DDR3 Memory
500 GB hardrive
Actually I tried the BF2 and it runs perfectly smooth. But with PR its just weird. The problem occurs randomly on the internet join match. One guy told me to update my drivers for the graphics by going to the website. I don't know what that means. Also, what do you mean by getting newest drivers and not using windows default driver. Please help.

Instead of relying on "Window Update" and preinstalled drivers you are supposed to get the latest drivers from each components manufacturer.
For you graphics card go here for example:
NVIDIA Driver Downloads - Automatically Detect NVIDIA Products

So that's what is going on! I actually believe that because I when I played BF2 I swear the game was running PERFECTLY! But when I play PR the game sometimes runs smooth. Yeah I think it's the frame drop. I don't think it's my drivers because I bought the computer brand new two days ago.

What graphics
card? He has a geforce 6150SE which is an integrated graphics processor on the Nforce 430/410 based motherboards.

No offense intended but I'd assume an 'IT Technician' would be able to diagnose that...
To anyone who isn't familiar with IGPs, they're basically a step up from no graphics processor at all. It's no wonder at all that PR runs badly on an IGP... try discrete graphics cards if you want smooth gameplay on a 2010 release

upsa forget my post, a 6150 Is way to small.
you need better hardware then for BF2, way better. But even with a High end card you get 25 frames in most city maps cause of this bug.

Yeah I think its the game. I definitely don't think it's any of my specs because they're brand new and I made sure they each surpassed the recommended spec requirements to play PR. And PR is not a next gen game neither so in terms of graphics card, the one I have is more then ok. Also I updated the latest graphics card installer and still my frame rate drops sometimes. But when I play BF2, the game runs super, perfectly smooth. I haven't experienced any problems at all. I'm actually having more fun with BF2 just for the fact that the game runs smoothly. It's like I'm playing a console game with smooth frame rate. I'm disappointed because one of the reasons I actually bought a new PC desktop is to install PR so I can play a PC team game and leave the console game for a while. I'm guessing I'm going back to console games because after all the hassle of installing all of these updates, buying a new computer, and ending up not working sucks.

In your case its the 6150. Besides this PR is as you said Not a next gen game. And this makes the game badly optimized. Game has a mem lleak and eats your ram. Objects are renderd not as a stream all load in gfx. CPU is heavy loaded. All the map size , assets and objects and gameplay make the game run slower..
So buy a 8800GTX or better and all is fine (besides my bug, but in previuos versions you can run 60FPS maxed vsvync with a 8800 or better in almost every situation.

Then you are spectacularly ignorant.

I just told you it's not the graphics card. It runs perfectly smooth on BF2. BF2 and PR graphics are like the same. PR is just a mod of BF2 so why would I need a next gen graphics card? Also I asked around and they said it was good.

What are you just being a dikk? If I made sure the specs are right and the game is still not running smooth, how's it my fault. I think you're the ignorant one. Read before you post dumb shiit or just gtfo of my thread.

Where'd you ask around, because either you got trolled or the people advising you were equally in the dark about graphical processing power as you are.

I'm sorry, but I have no time for intransigent people on the internet. I know what I'm talking about, have linked you to an explanation of
why the GF 61xx series is not appropriate for PR nor most gaming at large, and yet you decide to ignore my advice and instead personally attack me. I am now done attempting to help you, I can only hope for your sake that others have more patience than I.
agentcell wrote:I just told you it's not the graphics card.
And just for the record, you don't have a graphics card... your graphical processing unit is integrated into the motherboard.

First of all don't try to play the victim and pretend you're giving me advice. Your talk on the geforce 61 series was directed to that other guy garack or something and not me. Second, calling me ignorant (even now) is a not an advice. You're just being a faggott @ss. Third, I didn't attack you first. You started it. Fourth, after your insults, I DON'T WANT YOUR FUCKINGG HELP. You got that clear in your head. What you're doing is not helping. You're just being a fuckingg show off dikk! Don't post on my thread. You're not welcomed here.

Ok ..Take 5 minutes to read through the thead again and hopefully you will realise that no one is rude to you and that they actually are trying to help you. No need for that kind of language.
Basicly what people are trying to tell you is that:
1. your onboard graphicschip is not really a grapics card.
2. and is not good enough to get high fps in PR.
3. BF2 is not the same as PR

I probably didn't make my self clear. The link I provided will aid you in finding the latest GFX driver. Click it and it should lead you to a website which will automatically detect your GFX card and provide you with an installer for the latest driver for your card.
Newer drivers will usually feature some performance improvements and resolve bugs. Keeping those up-to-date may therefore solve or ease your lag issue.
@Psyrus: If you do not intend to offend people then you should consider changing your tone and phrase your statements more diplomatic. Questioning my ability as an IT-Technician in a public thread in the way you did IS offensive.
