Current version of PR is .95 (3 files)

you need patches 1.41 and 1.5 for BF2

A search for your error might bring up something.

Thanks But I have. Read it all.
I've tried absolutely everything. Nothing works.

I'll get .95 see if that's any better.
Just means I cant play locally.

You can still create local games. If you want to play against bots open a local server in Cooperative.

:) . By locally I meant, on the South African local server. Here in South Africa we suffer awful pings to the rest of the world. We also pay our ISP's more for using international bandwidth. Hence my reluctance to download .95 until our local server was running it.

The game of course is so fantastic I couldn't resist the temptation to get it up and running.
So far no luck.

Does no body know what causes the "Line: 233" error?

This ofcourse sucks. But maybe try using torrents. I can imagine it is possible to refuse non-"local" connections.
