Currently there are maps going from 2km to 4km. Currently many maps are 2km and maybe a little bigger or smaller for AAS and insurgency.

I like 4km maps because they require more tactics because you don't want to hike around, you want to stay alive. people build more Fobs and more assets such as attack helicopters, jets, and tanks

ex. Iron eagle, kashan desert, yamila, wanda shan

Smaller maps are more detailed and have more action, which is what most people want and it requires less walking to make it to your group in order to regroup.

ex. Lashkar Valley, Al Basrah, West fallujah,


There are some maps in the middle that are a good match of small and big and they have a good amount of fobs, and also alot of action. with a bit of realism

personally. i like Big maps because they are more realistic, and require more teamwork from, attack helicopters, tanks and infantry. Fire fights are long distance. and the y run pretty well since they have low texture

There are still some 1km maps too, and some 2km have a combat zone not much more than 1km.

Small maps are good for fewer players, they work good with full servers too but personally I prefer large maps. The bigger the better, there's always transport in a decent team and after all we're fighting over spesific objectives not the whole map, so the 'map too big' argument doesn't really work for me.

I like bigger maps to. They require more strategic thinking since you dont know where the enemy are. Also it forces people to stay close to the flag they just took since unlike smaller maps you cant just drive there in a min. Though some maps funnel people in one place too much like Kashan at the bunkers, mean most of the fighting takes place in 1km area.

I like 4km maps whitout jets. Theres usually alternative layout where jets are replaced whit ATK choppers. I dont like jets becoase they just are not realistic for such small scale. I know attack chopper are too limited becoase of view distance, but I prefer them over jets.
4km maps need some teamwork beetween INF and assets. This only usually happens when lots of regulars and clan members are on server.

I like 4km maps just like that one with the brits vs mec (forgot the name).

2km is perfect. Nuff said.

It depends how well the map use the space it has. Korengal is an absolutley awesome map, and only 1km IIRC, whilst the IDF vs MEC map, Iron or Eagle something, Iron Ridge I think, is also awesome, at 4km

4km because jets

4km maps are the best and give the best experience and replayability.

I like all kinds of map, but as a dedicated infantryman, i prefer city maps 2km big, or small 1km maps.

Depends on the assets and the map design. What I would like to see, though, is more 4km/2km maps for infantry and APC's.

Am I the only one who would like to see a 4km (even 2 km) Korengal map made for infantry, few light vehicles and an Apache? That would be so MUCH win

Love some combined arms 4km, but nothing says FUCK YEAH more than close quarters infantry combat, which is why Fallujah and the Dragonfly city area rock.

4km maps must be great for pilots/tankers, but for me (who enjoys playing Inf), they are so big as to be boring. We played Iron Eagle [?] the other night and I was in the only Infantry squad, it was the most boring round ever, even with a brilliant SL and good team comms including Mumble.

Horses for courses. Bu tthe smaller the better for Inf, for sure.
