FIXED. see last post

My ingame map will not show up and I cannot spawn in. Games loads I click squad assignment, then the map flashes (actually kinda looks like a bunch of lines that look like the map, like its shadowed out) for half a second and disappears and dosnt come back. Only thing I see is the kits to the left. I have tried switching sides to no avail. Does anyone know how to fix this ?

check that the file is there, that its in the right format etc and compare it to a existing a working minmap file

also testing if the default minimap works would help to make sure its not the mod rather than the minimap

ingameMap.dds is in the rite folder and it opens with irfanview size 512 x 512. I have a 4km map. For some reason photoshop will not let me open the dds file when i downloaded this plugin NVIDIA Plug-ins for Adobe Photoshop (Normal/Cube Maps, DDS) current version 8.23 and installed it. Maps on other maps work fine.

When you install the dds plugin it will install to 32 bit version of photoshop (unless you change install location).

So make sure you open up the 32 bit version of photoshop, then open the dds file through that.

Otherwise when you click on a dds file to open it, it will open the 64bit photoshop (which doesnt have the dds plugin) and say it cant open it.

I have taken the ingameMap.dds from Kashan Desert and placed it in my HUD folder to see if it would fix it and it does not. Stil end up with no map and no place to spawn. Geez this editor is a jerk...makes me wonder how many PCs have been thown out the window because of it LoL.

It also looks like you haven't placed any cps or spawn points. I think you need at least one flag and two spawn points (one for each faction). Also, the total tickets is 6292? After you get your minimap in order, set up a simple GPO layer.

I have not made a layer yet but I do have 3 CPs on the map. 2 being deployment areas and 1 is nuetral. My map has been working fine I made my lightmaps and a few small other adjustments. Saved and loaded back into game and now no map. The CPs are still there.

Hmm, well when I look at this SS, I don't see a spawn point.


One time when I forgot to add the minimap, I still had the white dots to spawn on, etc. so there might be a bigger problem here.

Yeah the map does not show up on my screen at all its glitched or somthing.

whats wrong with it ?
its the default combat area for 4km maps (im using it on all my maps and it works fine)
seems like you dont have a 4km map even you told me you have
