I just recently bought a new mouse. Its a Logitech M105 and it has two buttons above the thumb but they aren't recognized within PR settings. I want to program my push to talk in game to one of these buttons but PR doesnt recognize the buttons.
If anybody has any suggestions on how to remedy this situation that would be great!

Hm I have a different mouse but the two buttons you described work fine for me in PR. Did you install the mouse driver? It might get those buttons to work.

Nope haven't tried that.
If I do that will PR recognize them?

It's probably the same problem I was having with my Razer mouse. Make sure you disable UAC (User Access Control) on WIN7.

What is that and how do I do that?

Well it appears to actually be "User Account Control" but googling the above would still bring up valid results...

All of a sudden i was having the same issue with my mouse. Turning off UAC on vista fixed it.

Will turning of UAC conflict or cause any other problems with other peripheral devices?

It is more likely to have problems when it is turned on, as it tends to deny processes the needed access to resources. It does this in an attempt to block possible malware (which when not from 10 years ago, probably alread knows how to circumvent UAC).
But the bottom line is: you will have to try it for yourself.

I have always had it turned off and no problems ever. Recent windows update turned it back on and gave me the mouse issues.
