Visual/Audio Sprint Indicator instead of Meter

It would be nice to have a visual/audio indicator for troops stamina instead of a boring old meter. If you sprint and go in the red (get tired) you'll be exhausted and there can be a Blur overlay, besides that there can also be breathing audio that gets heavier/louder as your stamina gets lower. I feel this would be a realistic addition to the game.

Also a Blur/Black out effect for Pulling G's in an aircraft would be awesome, but I don't know if that's already been suggested or not. May also be hardcoded.

Were you in full combat gear, under heavy weather, and most likely less hydrated or hungry? Were you being fired upon? Were you in a combat environment?

;)

I think a very very slight blur, or de-focus would be pretty good. Some light background breathing, heart pumping, etc.

What ever you say it still does not make your vision go blury.

yes i kinda agree with the little heart pumping sound in the background but not the visual red effects which i still cant get my head around why u suggested it

Yes this would be perfect :D

look at the big picture, getting shot doesn't make your eyes go bloodshot either, its supposed to simulate the effects of being exhausted/tired. So if you're really tired your reflexes won't be as good, and your aim won't be either, Hence the effect. also a sprint meter is kindof the last thing that needs to be cycled out of the HUD, and I figured something like this would go real far for immersion, as well as doubling as a good tool for keeping track of your soldier's stamina.

Also it wouldn't be that red effect, it would just be a slight blur or something, like the ones we have for the 3D scopes, just less extreme.

Very similar Suggestion:

Other than that, i still like the idea to remove the sprintbar and add at least a audible ques.

Yeah and some accuracy penalty would be good as weel.

Deviation. Hint, hint.

That'd be sweet actually.

Nah, my point is that if someone runs his deviation is bigger already for 5 sec than someone stable/moving minimally. Devs can't implement other system than than, so we won't see exhaustion meter. ;]

With the visual, I think it could be done as a sort of "runner's high". When I get it, I can hardly focus on anything with my eyes until its passed.

@up
Very cool idea, really, and also realistic to me.

I think this penalty should be bigger, depending on how long were you running. Just imagine your accuracy after running 100 meters in real life. Weapon would be shaking all over then.

True, but I don't think it is possible.

The heavy breathing would be a really great way to remove the stamina meter, but the blur is probably a bit much as a soldier better damn well be focused on his surroundings.

Maybe an extra-slight blur, like 1/4 of what the 3D scope slide blur is?
