[?] Are BF2 "Voice Hints" Hardcoded?

Probably a silly question, but if they aren't I plan on giving a shot at recording new Project Reality ones. Once I get them recorded I may need help scripting them and/or setting up triggers for when they activate and where.

What exactly do you mean by voice hints? Like the "I need ammo" voice?
That definately is not hardcoded since it has been edited with every new faction using their own language.

No he means the sometimes annoying commander voice that starts when you do something.
For example:
Entering an APC
"Press the LEFT mouse button to fire"
He was wondering if we could implement them into PR. For example:
Entering a Helicopter
"All air vehicles have a start up time of at least 30 seconds"

No like the "welcome to battlefield 2, use the WASD keys to move" "Hit the Ctrl key to Crouch" Etc Etc
You guys remember? from vBF2 when u first start it up? There were hints that would pop up and a Voice that would narrate everything while you were playing. Like you'd get in a car and it'd be like "this is a car, do this this and this if you want to do this" etc
I was hoping to record project reality ones so it would cover all the basic stuff of course, like movement, firing, etc, but also all the more complex stuff like healing, weapon deviation, vehicle warmup, kit requesting, etc etc etc to help out new players
If this is possible then I'll start writing a script and start recording right away (or well... after finals Dec 8th haha)
It would be like "Welcome to Project Reality, These Tutorials will help get you started and familiarize you with PR's unique controls and gameplay" "Use the WASD Keys to move" Etc Etc
they would be an interplay between voice narration and type, I could make them be like Voice:"Joining a squad is a crucial part of working with your Team" and then in a text box: To Join a Squad Hit Caps Lock and Browse the squad list to find one you feel comfortable joining. Click the "join" button to Join
And then I could do ones for helicopters and all sorts of stuff

No, not hardcoded, just lots of effort to set up and manage, and not really a priority. I reckon it's probably better to just do text only help hints though, that way if we want to add in new ones, we don't have different sounding narrators if you aren't available.

no dude Im available, I wouldn't of brought it up if I couldn't do it myself. so awesome, if its not hardcoded then I'm gonna start writing a script and start recording as soon as school lets out (about a week from now) cheers m8! I'll get in contact with you guys when I've got product ;D

Hmm, better record new voice commands, for marines, canadians. etc.
I bet 80% of players will turn off this "Hints System" after installing pr.

I can do that too, but those 20% of other players are the ones who steal choppers and TK squads lol, so I think it would be worth it.

By not being available, I meant, if you do it now, and then say 1 year down the track we want to add in some new voices, then you're not available then, then we're pretty much screwed and we have to redo all the voices again so all the voices sound the same. Hence why text only is a much better choice here... It can also be localised for different languages, rather than just having English only voice overs...

This annoyed me quite a lot in BF2 after reinstalls etc. So I would definately not like it annoying me in Pr.

I liked that voice in vbf, sounded inviting, so i think the hints should be added.
